Secondhand Sae: a Foot to the Neck!

calling all old, worn, stale wool socks. and who is the king of scads of wool socks? isaiah.
but, if you are anything like me, tossing out wool is really hard to do.

so, what the heck to do with a mountain of colorful wool socks worn thin, and holey? make a warm and unique scarf, yo!

flatten socks so that the heel faces down. cut off the toe, then cut up both sides to separate the top of the sock from the heel-side of the sock. discard heel side.

lay socks end to end in any order that you see fit. sew them together. finally, sew along the long side of your scarf to finish the edge. i used a zig-zag stitch and stretched it a little to give it a frilly look.

wear!
